Student Group Logos

When trying to grow your group’s public presence, it is important to have a logo you can use to “brand” your website, correspondence, advertising and banners.

Coats of arms can make very effective logos for businesses, student groups or social clubs and can be an elegant form of personal branding if used by individuals.

For student groups, these logos provide for an instant traditional feel, while making your logo easily recognizable as belonging both at your school and to your national organization.

For businesses, we can design a coat of arms which speaks to the location of your business and the type of business you are in. Or if you have a family based business, we can make a logo based on the coat of arms of one of your ancestors.

What we do:

We identify the symbols used by your school and national organization in their logos. In this example we use the logo for a student group belonging to an organization which uses a lamp on its traditional logo. The chapter is located at a school which has a fox and mountain laurel on its logo. The example school’s colors are red and white.
We translate those symbols into the forms that would be used in traditional coats of arms.
We put together the components according to the rules of armory to produce an eye-catching logo that instantly confers a sense of tradition and gravitas to your group. You can order the Shield with Supporters version, the Garter version, the Scroll (shown) or all of them. When your logo design is completed you will receive your logo in the form of a digital file(s) at 600 dpi, so you can make your own 8.5”x11” magazine-quality reproductions. This resolution of the file should exceed the quality requirements for t-shirts, signs and banners of all but the very largest sizes.Delivery of the file is made via email; the file size is typically about 5 MB each. If your email service doesn’t allow attachments of that size or you would like your file delivered on CD for any other reason, we can send one to you priority mail. Order your additional shipping at the bottom of this page.

Price stated includes a single design produced, if your organization desires a redesign, an alternative design can be made for an additional charge of $50. We charge you for redesigns because the initial price is so low. The 2012 London Olympic logo cost over $600,000 and we believe our designs compare quite favorably.

The designs can be draw in one of six styles:

  • Medieval Heraldry—an old style hand-drawn look that looks quite simple and primitive, put carries the gravitas of knights in shining armor.
  • Victorian Heraldry—a 19th-century style that has become thought of as the ‘traditional style’ of heraldry, it is more ornate, but gives the impression of a by-gone era.
  • Modern Heraldry—clean lines from computer-designed graphics make this style look sharp and clean.
  • Contemporary Logo—clean, sharp lines, with high contrast, make your brand immediately recognizable.
  • Avant-garde Logo—these logos have deeper meanings and aren’t as quickly read by the eye, but they offer unparalleled individuality and character.
  • Collegiate Logo—academic clubs and institutions have long had a style sensibility all their own; these logos will look old and new at the same time.
